Tyndall National Institute to Host CALIN Launch


The Tyndall National Institute at University College Cork, will host the launch of CALIN, a unique networking & business development opportunity for life science businesses across Ireland and Wales on 27th & 28th March 2017.

This two-day event is set to provide a platform for Irish and Welsh SMEs to engage with the CALIN project, with one-to-one project development meetings, demonstrations and networking opportunities. Talks from the six CALIN higher education institutes will provide insight into the capabilities & technology platforms these universities have to offer.

The event will also provide SMEs with the chance to speak about the CALIN project from their perspective, with over 15 Irish and Welsh businesses confirmed to present their companies and technology challenges.

Furthermore, the first day of the event will include opening addresses from Eoin O’Driscoll, Chairman and Acting Tyndall CEO, CALIN coordinator, Shareen Doak and Irish Government representatives as well as a keynote talk from Ireland’s Health Innovation Hub  director Colman Casey.

Lunch and a buffet dinner will be provided as well as a tour of Tyndall National Institute on the second day of the event.
